Wickham Schmidt’s entertaining overview of our immigration system,
or our “National Club” as he terms it. Who is
favored? Who is excluded? Who are the
outcasts? Where do refugees fit in? Trial
judge, appellate judge, chief appellate judge,
prosecutor, government senior executive, big
law partner, manager, advocate, teacher,
writer, civil servant in Administrations of both
parties, Judge Schmidt has “seen it all” in his
43-year career in immigration law. Judge
Schmidt’s presentations on immigration will
provoke a lively discussion.
